Your trip begins with a pick up from your accomodations in the
morning or at our main office. We travel west of prince George keeping our eyes
open for wildlife such as bears, moose as well as many others which are active
and most often seen first thing in the morning. Within half an hour to
forty-five minutes we reach our launching area to begin our river canoe trip.
After a safety session and an equipment
review your guide will be ready to begin your tour. We have several canoes available which each carry two to three
people. |
| |
The first half-hour of the tour involves getting
accustomed to the canoe and maneuvering with instruction and assistance from
your guide. The Nechako is a gently flowing river, which allows you to float
with little paddling required. The river offers the tranquility of the river,
beauty of the surrounding scenery, as well as one of the best opportunities to
view wildlife. The tour stops at several sites, which allows you to do some
short guided hikes, or just to enjoy the river pass by from shore. This is a
relaxing and rewarding tour, which brings you to incredible scenery, and
abundany wildlife. The tour stops include a riverside lunch and both morning
and afternoon snacks and refreshments. The tour is completed after eight hours
with a short fifteen-minute road trip back to the city of Prince
George. |
